Installing and maintaining Avaya IP Deskphone H.323 9608, 9608G, 9611G, 9621G, and 9641GJanuary 2014 Comments? infodev@avaya.com A Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides security for remote users that connect to the internet from a public or untrusted network. One of the types of VPNs is a client-to-gateway VPN. With client-to-gateway, you can remotely connect different branches of your company located at different geographical areas to transmit and receive the data This is good to do, in case there's old addresses or something stuck in the phone books to discovery. It typically means that it has a wrong IP address. You're going to want to get back into your menu and go ahead and clear that out. Once again, you're going to see the phone restart. This is how to factory reset a 9608. Thanks. We had Avaya vpn phones working through our ASA before. Now we are changing our router to Meraki which makes us use L2TP over IPsec for vpn instead. Does anyone know if the Avaya vpn phones are supported to get through the Meraki firewall? Thanks.
